As some of you would know, I used to be pretty passionate about laying Daily Donkey selections because of the sheer number of selections given out everyday.

I got a little fed up after following their selection for around a year and had problems ever matching the odds that they got. So my results were way way different from that stated on their website. I did figure out a way to keep making profits with some of their selections but this limited the number of selections that I could lay making my daily profit potential quite low.

Before I used my technique on their selections I would have a nice winning streak of 12 wins and then one loss would wipe out all the winnings and more. Also don’t forget that each time we win when we lay we need to pay Betfair commisions, which at the end of the month could come up to a lot.

For example yesterday they layed Arceye at Chepstow at SP 19.00, over at Betfair that would have been around 22.00 …. and the horse won. This is what I really hate about it, win 12 in a row and lose twice as much on a single horse.

This is the reason why most people fail to make any money from Daily Donkey selections. Many people think…’well it’s free’ but to have your Betfair account wiped out in 2 short months is not a laughing matter.

Since I was pretty much laying only half or less of their selections, I was making money but rather slowly. This gave me an idea of searching for my own horses to lay and after a few months of success I decided that I should start a lay service. So Horse Laying Professionals was born. Volume is really key to making money with horse laying and price is the next important factor that we really need to control.
